April 5, 2025 | H.Con.Res. 14

The enacted FY 2025 Budget Resolution sacrifices the well-being of everyday Americans to provide $4.5 trillion in tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. The legislation approved over $1.5 trillion in cuts to vital programs that millions of Americans depend on for access to affordable healthcare and retirement security, including hundreds of billions of dollars in cuts to Medicaid, to pay for massive tax cuts for the wealthy.

The harmful impacts of these cuts reach beyond the families who count on this assistance. Hospitals and healthcare facilities count on Medicaid reimbursements to maintain staffing levels, and reduced funding will lead to cuts impacting nurses, aides, and other healthcare professionals. This budget decimates healthcare, educational services, food access, and other crucial programs and still adds trillions of dollars to the deficit, making a mockery of the suggestion that this budget would address long-term fiscal concerns.

This is Bad for working people.
