The House-passed 2026 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) included a bipartisan provision (Section 1110) that would restore collective bargaining rights for civilian Department of Defense employees. These rights were taken away earlier this year by an unjust executive order.

These protections are critical to recruiting and retaining skilled workers and ensuring employees can safely report waste, fraud, and abuse. However, this provision was quietly removed from the version voted for on the House floor. By failing to restore these rights, the bill fails to protect defense workers and undermines accountability and national security.

This is Bad for working people.
