Confirmation of RFK as HHS Secretary
February 12, 2025
Working people rely on HHS to enforce the regulations that keep workplaces safe from deadly, yet preventable diseases. This agency is responsible for protecting workers, patients, and families through evidence-based health policy.
Mr. Kennedy’s long record of promoting misinformation around vaccines and public health interventions threatens trust in agencies like the CDC, FDA, and NIH—institutions frontline healthcare workers rely on to keep themselves and their patients safe. Healthcare workers and unions need an HHS Secretary who trusts science, respects workers, and strengthens public health institutions. Mr. Kennedy is facially unqualified to serve as Secretary, and his record raises serious concerns that his leadership will threaten the safety of working people and the accessibility of affordable healthcare for millions of Americans.
This is Bad for working people.
