In many states, some Republican lawmakers and dark money groups are hard at work attacking our freedom to vote, using partisan gerrymandering to draw congressional districts that deny people fair representation, and planning to attempt future election sabotage. In 2021 alone, 34 laws in 19 different states were enacted that restrict access to the ballot box. This is a brazen power grab. It’s designed to eliminate accountability in Washington so that lawmakers can keep serving corporate interests and dark money groups instead of voters.

The Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act will ensure that voters can safely and freely cast their ballots, protect against election sabotage, stop partisan gerrymandering, and limit the influence of dark money in politics so that billionaires can’t buy our elections.

This is Good for working people.
