Confirmation of Nicole Berner to U.S. Circuit Judge for the Fourth Circuit. Berner has not only advocated for working people through traditional labor law such as organizing and collective bargaining, but also through innovative campaigns such as the Fight for $15 to improve working conditions and wages of workers who do not benefit from the security provided by a collective bargaining agreement. Her knowledge of labor law also accompanies experience on a broad range of legal issues that impact union members and their communities, including defending and protecting access to affordable healthcare and fighting for LGBTQ rights, civil rights, voting rights, and immigrant justice. This legal experience beyond labor law is crucial as the modern practice of representing unions requires a grasp of the entire spectrum of civil rights law, and this experience is necessary for service as a federal appellate judge.

This is Good for working people.
